Program: RYLA

Telstar students Jamie Steven, Josh Bellinger, Emma Davis, Victoria Forkus, who participated in last summer’s Rotary Youth Leardership Award program at Camp Hines in Raymond, described their experience. They said that participating with people who were strangers to them at first, undertaking challenges as a team (such as doing a ropes course), working through failure and operating outside of their comfort zone were all valuable in helping them grow as people and leaders. In some cases they made friends with whom they have continued to stay in touch.
